A310-300 Electrical/Avionics Systems (CF6-80C2A2)

Course Description:

This is an electrical and avionics level III course. It includes the training on the related ATA chapters. All electrical, avionics systems, sub systems and components are described in details, as well as the operational and functional tests and trouble shooting of the related systems. It also includes the use of the operational documentation.

 

Target group:

All maintenance personnel associated with line and base maintenance activities, PART-66 Certified Staff category B2 or equivalent who are seeking a maintenance type rating course for A310 ELECTRICAL / AVIONICS SYSTEMS (CF6-80C2A2) in order to develop their skills and knowledge.

 

Objectives:

Upon completion of the course, the students will be able to:

·         Recall the normal function of these systems as applicable; electrical, lights, indicating, recording, communication, navigation and auto flight.

·         Identify the interfaces between all airframe systems. 

·         Identifying normal and non-normal indications provided by aircraft controls, displays and built-in-test-equipment (BITE). 

·         Identify power sources for al systems.

·         Use the Minimum Equipment List (MEL) to identify systems and components required for dispatch and any procedures to allow dispatch with systems/components inoperative. 

·         Use aircraft troubleshooting tools to diagnose correct and verify the repair of faults.

·         Safety procedures. 

·         Performing system, engine, component and functional checks as specified in the maintenance manual. 

·         Trouble shooting of aircraft, power plant and avionics systems based on information from the crew. 

·         Fault rectification of aircraft avionics systems. 

 

Method of training:

Training can take place at the premises of JATS in Amman-QAIA, or at a location chosen by the customer suitable for the intended training. Knowledge transfer will be achieved by Stand-up instruction in the classroom, accompanied by training aids as data show projector and computer based presentations (CBT). Each participant will receive a training syllabus for personal use as well as to use during the course. Training requires a PCs for each Trainee and multimedia projector to be used by instructor.

 

Examination:

Part of the training, are written multi-choice examinations with a minimum pass mark of 80% each. 

 

Duration:

- 180 Hours.
