A310-300 Line & Base Mechanical/Electrical/Avionic

Course Description:

This is an electrical/ mechanical and avionics level III course. It includes all the training on all ATA chapters. All the airframe, power plant and avionics systems, sub systems and components are described in details, as well as the operational and functional tests and trouble shooting of all systems. It also includes the use of the operational documentation.


Target group:

All maintenance personnel associated with line and base maintenance activities, PART-66 Certified Staff category (B1+B2), or equivalent who are seeking a maintenance type rating course for A310 in order to develop their skills and knowledge.



Upon completion of the course, the students will be able to:

·         Recall the normal function of these systems as applicable; electrical, fuel, auxiliary power unit, power plant, hydraulic power, landing gear, flight controls, pneumatic power, air conditioning, fire protection, oxygen, water and waste, equipment and furnishings, lights, doors, windows, indicating, recording, communication, navigation and auto flight.

·         Recall the safety precautions to be observed when working on or near the aircraft. 

·         Identify power sources for al systems.

·         Recall the locations of the principal components and access to those components. 

·         Use the Minimum Equipment List (MEL) to identify systems and components required for dispatch and any procedures to allow dispatch with systems/components inoperative. 

·         Use aircraft troubleshooting tools to diagnose correct and verify the repair of faults.

·         Safety procedures. 

·         Usage of aircraft maintenance documentation. 

·         Performing system, engine, component and functional checks as specified in the maintenance manual. 

·         Correlating information for the purpose of making decisions in respect to fault diagnosis and rectification to maintenance manual level. 

·         Servicing procedures of al aircraft systems and components. 

·         Trouble shooting of aircraft, power plant and avionics systems based on information from the crew. 


Method of training:

Training can take place at the premises of JATS in Amman-QAIA, or at a location chosen by the customer suitable for the intended training. Knowledge transfer will be achieved by Stand-up instruction in the classroom, accompanied by training aids as data show projector and computer based presentations (CBT). Each participant will receive a training syllabus for personal use as well as to use during the course. Training requires a PCs for each Trainee and multimedia projector to be used by instructor.



Part of the training, are written multi-choice examinations with a minimum pass mark of 80% each.
