A310-300 (CF6-80C2A2) Engine Run Up

Course Description:

This course comprises theoretical and practical training according to ATA Level IV on the A310-300 CF6-80C2A2. This course is to prepare candidates to achieve the required qualification and certification to run the engine.

 

Target Trainees:

Technical personnel associated with line and/or base/heavy maintenance activities requiring authorization for engine run-up.

 

Objectives:

Upon completion of this course the trainee shall be able to:

·         Describe the relevant safety precautions

·         Identify and use appropriate aircraft documentation

·         Perform the normal and abnormal engine start procedures

·         Perform procedures, to assess the behavior and performance of the engine

·         Perform system, engine and component functional checks and adjustments as specified in the maintenance manual

·         Correlate Information for the purpose of making decisions in respect to fault diagnosis and rectification

·         Perform the normal, abnormal and emergency engine shutdown procedures

 

Method of training:

Training can take place at the premises of JATS in Amman-QAIA, or at a location chosen by the customer suitable for the intended training. Knowledge transfer will be achieved by Stand-up instruction in the classroom, accompanied by training aids as data show projector and computer based presentations (CBT). Each participant will receive a training syllabus for personal use as well as to use during the course. Training requires a PCs for each Trainee and multimedia projector to be used by instructor.

 

Duration:

- Day one: 2 Briefing Hours, 3 Simulator Hours (FBS), 1 Debriefing Hour

- Day Two: 2 Briefing Hours, 3 Simulator Hours (FBS), 1 Debriefing Hour
