JATS has acquired a new A320 THALES Formation System Trainer (TFST)

Jordan Airline Training and Simulation (JATS), the pioneer in civil aviation training industry in the Middle East has acquired a new A320 THALES Formation System Trainer (TFST) from THALES the worlds No. (1) in simulators manufacturing.

JATS mission is to provide its customers with the latest technology in the field of aviation training industry; however in order to achieve its objectives JATS has decided to enhance its training services by providing the simulator section with the latest training devices, TFST, FMST, and EFCDS.

A320 THALES Formation System Trainer (TFST) is designed and manufactured in accordance with Airbus approved data to meet the training requirements as defined by Airbus.

The TFST is a class room system trainer that uses LCD touch screens to display cockpit panels of the simulated A320 Aircraft.

The use of FFS software provides a common software baseline and Level D fidelity to Airbus data which ensures students feel comfortable using the device during the Freeplay training of the aircraft system.

Performance and operation supports training of flight crew in normal, abnormal and emergency procedures in accordance with the approved data for the specified level of TFST and system simulation of FFS.

The A320-200 TFST 1.4 STD supports:

  • AE V2527-A5 interchangeable with CFM 56 Engine.

  • FMGS2.

  • MCDU.

  • EIS.

  • Sound system.

  • TCAS.

In addition to Airbus CBT software, Airbus procedure trainer (APT) in order to enhance the quality of training services provided to JATS customers.

JATS has also acquired an independent flight management training system (FMST) and an Enhanced Flight Crew Debrief system.

JATS experienced team of specialists lead by Capt. Qariuti has commenced the IPA according to defined ATMS agreed with THALES.

The equipment will be shipped next week to be integrated with its state of the FFS in order to meet the RFT date 31st July 2008.

Jordan Airline Training and Simulation (JATS) has recently obtained initial certification as a TRTO


Jordan Airline Training and Simulation (JATS), the Ex Royal Jordanian Training Center, a company jointly owned by major holder the Eastern Group, and Royal Jordanian Airlines, located at Queen Alia International Airport in Amman Jordan, and specialized in all aspects of airline staff training, mainly Flight Crew training (Cockpit and Cabin), and Aircraft Maintenance Crew training, has recently obtained initial certification as a Type Rating Training Organization (TRTO) in accordance with JAR FCL 1 requirements by the Romanian civil aviation authority as Romania is a JAA member state (European Joint Aviation Authority).

This comes following a through audit carried out during period 22 – 27 March 2008 by a highly specialized team of inspectors headed by Romanian Civil Aviation Director General Mr. Florea Geica, head of Licensing Department Mr. Cristian Olinescu and head of Operations Department Mr. Niculae Cireasa.

This very important certification confirms the very high standard and quality of training offered by JATS, and its ongoing continuous efforts in achieving excellence in the aviation training fields making it second to none in this area and far beyond.

It also opens the door wide for all airline companies following the JAA regulations in the Middle East, Europe, Far East and Far Beyond to conduct its training at JATS with no restrictions thus increasing greatly the customer base of JATS.

JATS signed training services agreement with new Airlines

In the first and second quarters of 2008 and up to 30th June, and thanks to the successful marketing plan by JATS, the following additional Airlines signed training services agreements with JATS and commenced training:

  • Middle East Airlines MEA, Lebanon on Airbus A320.
  • ATLASJET Airlines Turkey on Airbus A320.
  • TURKUAZ Airlines Turkey on Airbus A320.
  • SKY Airlines Turkey on Airbus A320.

 

Siberia S7 Airlines commenced training on JATS A310-300 Simulator

Siberia S7 Airlines commenced training on JATS A310-300 Simulator last May with two crews full type rating followed by 3 crews to commence. This important development reflects Siberia S7 Airlines great confidence in JATS and satisfaction with the high standard of training, facilities, services, co-ordination and conditions provided, following the record Airbus A320 simulator type rating training conducted by Siberia at JATS so far completing 52 crews (104 pilots) on A320 simulator type rating training and 2 simulator instructor courses in just 7 months with a total approaching 2500 A320 Simulator hours and still ongoing.

TAROM expressed its willingness in continuation of their agreement on A310 Simulator training at JATS

TAROM expressed its willingness in continuation of their agreement on A310 Simulator training at JATS that commenced in May 2007 and still ongoing and which has proved to be very satisfactory to both companies. TAROM are also considering to carry out their A318 training requirement partly or fully on the JATS A320 Simulators and are expected to sign an agreement on that aspect soon.

 

Bahrain Air expressed their great confidence in JATS

Bahrain Air also expressed their great confidence in JATS and satisfaction with the high standard of training, facilities, services, co-ordination and conditions provided, following the completion of acceptance training of all their A320 PILOTS on the JATS Airbus A320 simulator, type rating courses, CCQ and recurrency training, in addition to 5 initial cabin crew safety training for over 60 cabin attendants. Bahrain Air are also referring all Bahraini privately sponsored Ab-initio pilots to follow full basic flight crew courses followed by a full first Airbus A320 simulator type rating course that includes MCC, Fixed base and Full Flight Simulator training. Three crews have already registered for these 12 week courses at a rate of one course per month starting on 15th July 2008.
