As part of JATS’ ongoing development activities, and as part of its empowering role in the aviation sector, JATS invested in a photovoltaic system in 2016, reducing CO2 emissions and contributing surplus power to the national grid at no cost, and then we proudly installed the solar system at JATS on May 2017 to become the first solar energy project installed at QAIA free zone. The system generates 1.5 Mwh that covers around 2500 Mwh per year which provides 100% of JATS electrical daily consumption.

This go green project, is part of JATS’ commitment as a national company to conserve the kingdom's energy resources and to rationalize their consumption in accordance with current global trends, through implementing sustainability initiatives
