originally founded as RJ’s Training Centre in providing training on B707 and B727;
An L1011 Full Flight Simulator was introduced into service.
Full Motion Flight Simulators for Airbus A310 & A320 have been installed at Queen Alia International Airport.
With the vision of privatization of Royal Jordanian supporting services sections, the company was separated and became a new entity under the name JATS.
A340 / A330 Door Trainer was purchased from TFC and installed at JATS/QAIA.
June: New Head Office with state of the art classrooms facilities were established at JATS/QAIA.
August: Eastern Investment Group Holding acquired 80% of JATS in a privatization scheme of Royal Jordanian with a total of $14.7 million paid through a debt swap arrangement with the British government; RJ retained 20%.
October: an extensive refurbishment accomplished at the whole facilities; interior and exterior.
June: According to EU Regulation 1332/2011, JATS upgraded its A320 and B737NG Simulators to TCAS 7.1.
September: B737-NG FFS sold out.
October: L3 started the implementation of the Upgrade of A320 Thales FSTD to be with the latest Airbus standard 2.0 CEO including the UPRT Capabilities.
March: EASA First Approved A320-200 FFS Std.2.0 at JATS based on EASA CS-FSTD (A) Issue 2 as the Primary Reference.
Awarded the Approval for Distance Learning (DSL) for EASA 147 Courses from EASA & JCARC.
July: Started the UPRT update on our Embraer 170/190 FSTD to meet the latest EASA requirements.
August / September: JATS' E170 / E190 Simulator was ready and Approved by JCARC and EASA for UPRT Training.
December: Embraer 170/190 FSTD sold out to another FSTD Operator and dismantled.
February: obtained IATA Authorized Training Center (ATC) authorization.
May: JATS Co-owned by Royal Jordanian Airways.
